Rod earned both a Bachelor of Science (1974) and a Master of Business Administration degree (1976) from the University of Toronto. He joined Norton McMullen in 1976, obtained his CA and became a partner in the firm three years later.
He has special interest and experience in the accounting, taxation and unique issues related to not-for-profit organizations as well as in scientific research and experimental development. In addition, Rod services a number of small business owners and managers.
Rod particularly enjoys problem solving including the minimization and deferral of tax, owner compensation maximization, preparation of projected or forecasted cash flows and general business issues. He has now reduced his work to part time and no longer directly supervises audits, reviews and compilations of financial statements.
